Sage Green and Pink Bedroom

sage green and pink

Do you love the colors sage green and pink together?

Are you wanting to revamp your bedroom using these colors?

Are you just looking for ideas for your bedroom in general?

If you’ve already read my other post, Pink and Green Living Room then you know how important it is to find a balance when incorporating two or more colors into a space.

I want to help you create a beautiful bedroom retreat using these colors.

Let’s not waste any more time and dive right into it!

Sage Green and Pink Paint Ideas

Now you might be thinking this is a no-brainer. You go to the paint store, find sage green and pink paint, and use them. Right?

Unfortunately, not all paint stores are created equal.

When I went looking for samples to use in this post, I encountered that sage green was nowhere to be found as a paint option.

So what do you do?

Your best option is to try and find a color that is as close to sage green as possible. It will help you, even more, to have something in the color already that you can bring with you to compare.

Below are some options I found at Home Depot and Lowes. You will also see that I paired them with a shade of pink that I found works beautifully with each shade of green.

Make sure you grab the color samples and maybe even a small can of the two colors to test in your bedroom. Paint colors always look different once you bring them home into your lighting environment instead of the stores.

Sage Green and Pink Bedroom Bedding and Textiles

Now that you have your paint colors it’s time to focus on the textiles in your room.

Starting with the bedding, as this is the focal point of the room, I suggest choosing neutral colors; especially if you have used both colors on the walls.

If you chose to only have sage green on the walls then you’ll want to incorporate the pink with the bedding. This can either be the comforter color, throw pillows color, or sheets color. The sheets and pillows can both be pink, but not all three. I also don’t recommend a pink comforter with either pink pillows or sheets. You’ll feel like you’re being swallowed by the color.

The same can be said if you chose to have pink on the walls and sage green as the accent color.

Breaking up bright colors with neutral colors is easier on the eyes and creates an overall more aesthetically pleasing environment.

As for the curtains and rugs in the room, I suggest sticking with a neutral color for the very reason I stated above.

Patterns and texture of the bedding and textiles can be based on your likes and preferences.

Sage Green and Pink Bedroom Decor

Yay! The fun part!

Well for me anyway.

When it comes to selecting and decorating your bedroom, I suggest gathering a small collection of items that are either sage green, pink, or both.

You’ll then want the remaining decor to be in neutral colors.

I like to think of it as sprinkling the room with green and pink decor sprinkles.

You can have the two colors together in an arrangement or let each color stand out on its own surrounded by neutral colors.

The great thing is if you don’t like an arrangement you can swap items until you do. Unlike paint colors and even some bedding where you will have to spend larger amounts of money and time to find the right color for the space.

What Other Colors Go With Sage Green?

I love this question because when you think about it the answer is a very simple one…ALL OF THEM!

Think about it.

Go look around at nature in the spring and summer. All around you are colors that are matched with green. Purple, blue, orange! Not a single color looks awkward or out of place when it’s paired next to the green.

So, if nature can do then so can you!

I would just caution you about choosing the color red to go with green. These two colors are greatly associated with the holiday season. That being said, they are very much complimentary colors!

There you have it! A simple and easy way to have a sage green and pink bedroom.

Start small and work through just the decor or bedding.

Go big and do the walls or the whole room!

The choice is up to you!
